This reference mark is located at the summit of Mt Tremont. It is easily found by following a hiking trail from Rt 302 parking area to the summit of Mt Tremont. The reference mark is on a large outcrop of rock approximately 40 feet west of the peak of Mt Tremont. There is another benchmark (TREMONT 1943) located at the peak of Mt Tremont, not to be confused with this one. Reference mark is in good condition and is easily readable.
