In Jamestown's downtown district is this 9/11 memorial in front of the old firehouse.
The building, which is a fire museum, is located at the corner of Narragansett Avenue and Coronado Street. It is in a small garden area and is by the fence along Coronado St.
The memorial consists of a piece of iron that was from the site of New York City's World Trade Center. It is I-shaped and has some serial number drawn on it. Above it, mounted on a piece of wood that is on a wire frame, is a plaque with the following:
"The memorial is dedicated to the brave and innocent victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001
Steel from the World Trade Center
Provided by the Port Authority of NY & NJ"
I could not find any more information, such as dedication date, for this memorial. Since it is at the fire museum, I am guessing that the volunteer fire department put this memorial up.
