Fürst Leopold I. zu Anhalt-Dessau hatte diese Mauer von 1712-14 errichten lassen. Kurz darauf führt der alte Dessauer eine Konsumtions- und Handelssteuer in der Stadt Anhalt-Dessau ein. Die Akzisemauer ist jetzt nur noch abschnittsweise im Stadtpark, am Johannbau und in der Mauerstraße zwischen der Schule und dem Friedhof vorhanden.

Prince Leopold I of Anhalt-Dessau had built this wall of 1712-14. Shortly thereafter, performs the old Dessauer a Consumption and trade tax in the city of Anhalt-Dessau. The Akzisemauer is now only partially in the city park, at the Johann and in the Wall Street between the school and the cemetery there.
