The
Farmall C was made from 1948 to 1951 and preceded the Super C. Still using a 1.9 Litre International Harvester gasoline engine, the power was upped from the A and B models to over 18.5 at the drawbar and 21 at the belt. It was still coupled to a 4 forward and 1 reverse speed transmission. A total of 79,932 were built, each one costing the farmer about $1,500. With serial number 5907, this would have been an early one. BTW, it is immaculate - showroom condition.
This one is one of several tractors under an octagonal gazebo near the north end of the display area.
Each year in early September the Northwest Montana Antique Power Association holds an Annual Threshing Bee.
This event features steam threshing, steam plowing, antique tractors and engines, daily Parade of Power, shingle making, miniature steam train rides, running sawmill, music and entertainment. Lunch available and handicap transportation on grounds. Pets allowed in camping area only.
