The Heron RFD station is on the eastern edge of the little community of Heron, on Railroad Avenue.

Railroad Avenue is the way into Heron, so anyone coming or going will pass right by the station, which is on the south side of the road. From Highway 200, one must take Heron road south, cross the bridge, then follow the signs and the road into Heron.
The station is a medium sized one with four overhead doors and no windows for peeking inside, unfortunately. It is manned by a force of a dozen volunteers, with 5 non-firefighting volunteers. This looks like a relatively new fire station.
