Located on the front copper doors to Saint Thomas Aquinas Cathedral are some very nice religious relief artwork. There are three sets of copper doors. The first door contains a religious seal or symbol. The second set of doors contain angels holding scales. The third door contains the same religious symbol or shield. I did a little online research and discovered that these are wooden doors covered with copper, mined in Nevada and designed and embossed by Gordon Newby. I could find no other information on Newby or additional info about these doors. They provide a very classy and eye-catching view, along with the whole of the cathedral, which stands out prominently on the corner of this downtown business district.
