Columbia Falls, a city of 4,700, is east of Whitefish, MT by about six miles, on Highway 2. Their main fire hall is on the corner of 7th Street and First Avenue West.

The city of Columbia Falls has a volunteer fire department led by a fire chief and an assistant fire chief. Only the fire chief is a paid staff member; the 20 volunteers are unpaid. The city has two fire stations, this and a rural station housing three more vehicles. Atop this station is an older style warning siren.
