The Wingfield Park Glen Little Amphitheater is located in the heart of this park and was erected in 1992. There are also three plaques monumented on the outside wall of the amphitheater in addition to the cornerstone. One plaques mentions the dedication of this amphitheater on June 6, 1992. Another plaque is dedicated to Reno City Council for making arts and culture a priority in Reno in 1996. The third plaque is dedicated to Glen Little, known as "Reno's Music Man" and for which this amphitheater was renamed in his honor. This amphitheater is host to numerous events and festivals throughout the year, one of which is Reno's Gay Pride Festival for which Winfield Park is often known as 'Rainbow Park'.
