Located just northwest of the Alumni Chapel is a "garden" enclosed with landscaping timbers, and covered with pebbles. In this area is a gray granite monument with a quotation of R.C. Jernigan which reads:

The path that we walk
is the path to grow near
Help me walk the path
in wisdom and in fear
R.C. Jernigan

On the north side of this monument is a memorial to Carl and Mike Sikes which reads:

This meditation garden built in memory of two scouts
that shared the higher vision and opened their lives in service
to their fellow man through scouting
Carl and Mike Sikes
"Leadership in Service"
Erected by the scouts of Troop 301, as the
Eagle Scout Project of Eric Sikes December 2000
