The Rockville-Adams Township Fire Department, is located at, 403 South Jefferson Street, in Rockville, Indiana. The Rockville-Adams Township Fire Department is under the direction of Fire Chief Jim Veach, who has been in active fire service for nearly 25 years. In addition, Chief Veach is assisted by Assistant Chief Josh Sorrels. Approximately twenty-four fire department personnel operate one fire station. Covering approximately 80 square mile area, the Rockville-Adams Township Fire Department is responsible for providing emergency fire, tactical rescue and hazardous materials service to the Town of Rockville and Adams Township. The fire station is strategically placed in the town and township to provide a rapid response to any citizen at any location in the fastest and most efficient manner as possible.
Established in 1908 the department now includes 20 members with one on duty 24/7. The department responds to 70 runs each year to provide Fire and Rescue protection to 80 square miles including the Town of Rockville and all of Adams Township.
