The town of Minco lies on Highway 81, southwest of Oklahoma City. The town is rural and is the location of several dairy farms, and Oklahoma's largest beekeeping company. They advertise themselves as the Land of Milk and Honey.
Bill Johnson Park is located on Highway 81 (North 2nd Street), north of town. This is a flat area with some large trees scattered about. The park has several picnic tables and barbecue pits, each with a metal roof. There are two tennis courts, and in 2012, the Minco Little League built two regulation sized baseball fields.
Bill Johnson was a long-time resident of the town of Minco.
