The bronze equestrian statue of Charles XV (Karl XV), king of Sweden and Norway in 1859-1872 is located in front Biological Museum at Djurgården, Stockholm. The statue in most famous work of swedish sculptor and painter Charles Friberg (1868 - 1953). It depicts the famous king wearing a parade military uniform looking graciously 'down to his soldiers'.
Charles XV (1826–72)- king of Sweden and Norway (1859–72)
He was son and successor of Oscar I. A liberal and popular ruler, he consented to many reforms, including the creation of a bicameral parliament. He was succeeded by his brother, Oscar II.
