The Lupa Zoo is family owned and operated. It is managed by the Lupa Game Farm INC. The Zoo is a conservation and education institution dedicated to "demonstrating the value, beauty and interdependence of all living things".

The Zoo maintains a wide variety of mammals, birds, and reptiles from around the world. Including: Himalayan bears, giraffes, buffalo, eland, antelopes, water bucks, large and small cats, zebras, exotic birds and primates. Visitors may purchase food to feed the selected animals.

Until a few years ago, amazingly, the zoo was free. The increasing cost of acquiring, feeding and caring for the animals has recently necessitated an admission charge.

The zoo was founded and operated by the Lupa family, Henry Lupa, owner. The zoo is open from mid April until November.
