Haus Anton in der Dessauer Doppelreihe 35 ist ein unauffälliges Kleinod. Als einziges Gebäude in der experimentellen Bauhaussiedlung Törten ist es noch weitgehend im Originalzustand erhalten. 1926 errichtet, wurde das Haus vom Typ SieTö 1 nur behutsam an die Bedürfnisse seiner Bewohner angepasst und nie in größeren Umfang umgebaut. So hat sich an der ursprünglichen Aufteilung des Hauses – inklusive Stallungen und Wannenbad in der Küche – bis heute nichts geändert. Mit großzügiger Unterstützung durch die WBD Industriepark Dessau GmbH konnte die Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau das Haus im April 2012 übernehmen. Zuvor war es durch die DVV Dessauer Versorgungs- und Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH und unter Leitung des Dessauer Architekturbüros Bankert/Sommer als Musterbeispiel für die Architektur Walter Gropius' aufwendig saniert worden. Ein besonderes Highlight sind die nach bauzeitlichem Vorbild rekonstruierten Glasbausteine, die die der Straße zugewandte Fassade wieder in der ursprünglichen Transparenz erstrahlen lassen. Im Inneren des Hauses sorgen neue Kalkanstriche und nachgebaute Mustermöbel für ein authentisches Erscheinungsbild. So sah sie aus, die Bauhaus-Idee vom Volksbedarf – ein Ideal freilich, dem schon zur Zeit des Erstbezugs die wenigsten Bewohner folgten – aus pragmatischen wie finanziellen Gründen. Natürlich lässt sich auch die Nutzungsgeschichte des Hauses an dessen Inneren ablesen: Teile der von der namensgebenden Familie Anton angebrachten Tapeten blieben dazu ebenso erhalten, wie einige Möbel und Leuchten. Insbesondere die Küche dokumentiert so eindrucksvoll das Leben ihrer Nutzer. Fotografien und Dokumente geben weitere Einblicke in die ursprünglich geplante Ausstattung des Hauses und das Leben in der Bauhaussiedlung. Das Haus Anton ist im Rahmen der Architekturführungen durch die Siedlung Dessau-Törten zugänglich – immer dienstags bis sonntags um 15:30 Uhr, ab Konsumgebäude Dessau Törten (Am Dreieck 1).
