The former town of Buena Vista, MN is marked only by a small log building used now as a town hall for Turtle Lake Township, a picnic shelter, and an historical marker. The hall was built in 1898 as a school; the copper wood-burning stove inside is original to the building. A sign outside tells visitors that this historic site is located on the Continental Divide, 3200 miles from Hudson Bay and 1800 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. The town hall was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
