Dr Wetherill has to deal with the aftermath of a back street abortion on a vicar’s fiance. Meanwhile Dr Cheriton and Staff Nurse Taylor put out to sea to tend to an injured seaman.
Back on land Oscar Blaketon tells Greengrass that someone is trying to find him via the personal pages of the Ashfordly Gazette. Using a bit of arm twisting at the paper’s offices, Oscar finds out that it is Greengrass’s daughter. The couple are reconciled and Greengrass goes to live with his daughter.
Ken Hopkirk is wheeling and dealing again, as usual. This week’s scam is helping his nephew open his fish and chip shop. The nephew’s fridge has broken down and Ken volunteers to keep the fish in the mortuary, whilst his mate chips the potatoes. Having nowhere to store the chips they are put in the hospitals washing machine, making them somewhat soapy.
