Black Granite laser-etched monument located in Scenic View Park in Alexandria Bay, NY. PFC Sweet was killed in action while serving with D Coy, 2nd Bn 22nd Inf Div during Operation Iraqi Freedom on 8 February 2008.
He was a member of the 10th Mountain Division, stationed at Fort Drum, near Watertown, NY.
The monument features the now-classic boots, helmet and downturned rifle on top. This symbolizes the battlefield dead of any combatant, friend or foe.
