Eiserner Löwe im Blohms Park - Hamburg-Horn, Germany - Lion Statues on Waymarking.com

Dieser Löwe und sein Zwilling standen bis 1943 an der Treppe des Ohlendorff‘schen Palais an der Burgstraße. Das Palais selber wurde 1943 leider zerstört, der Zwilling ging verschollen, doch dieser Löwe fand ein neues zuhause im heutigen Blohm's Park, wo er seine Augen wachsam auf einen Kinderspielplatz richtet.

This lion and his twin stood at the foot of a set of stairs at the former Ohlendorff‘schen Palais, at the Burgstraße. The palais was destroyed in 1943, the twin-lion got lost, only this lion found a new home at today's Blohm's Park, guarding a playground with watchful eyes.
