[D]Bei den Hallstattgräbern handelt es sich um Grabhügel in einem kleinen Stadtteil-Park, welche auf die Zeit von 800 – 600 v.Chr. datiert sind. Sie stammen aus der frühen Eisenzeit (die auch Hallstattzeit genannt wird). Diese Bezeichnung basiert darauf, dass in Hallstatt im Salzkammergut (Österreich) ein ausgedehntes Gräberfeld entdeckt wurde.
Diese Grabhügel sind die letzten noch in Köln erhaltenen, da die meisten anderen (entlang des Mauspfades) am Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts Raubgrabungen und dem 1946 entstandenen Ostfriedhof zum Opfer fielen.
[E] This Hallstatt-Culture graves-mounds are located in a small public park in Cologne-Dellbrück. Dated 800-600 b.c. the so called iron age. Hallstatt is a city in Austria where in 1846 a huge burial ground was discovered. That is the source for the name "Hallstatt-Culture".
This are the last public available grave-mounds in cologne. All other grave-mounds in cologne became victims of grave robber and the 1946 founded East-Cementary in Cologne-Dellbrück.
