Welcome to Damonte Ranch High School, home of the Mustangs. residing in front of this newer high school is a large sculpture made of barbed wire. There is a plaque inside the school entrance lobby that reads:

This Mustang Statue was constructed entirely from scrap metal left behind from the original Damonte Ranch. Local artist Sean Kelly collected the scrap while helping in the construction of the school. It stands here today thanks to Mr. Sawyer's 2007 Senior Seminar class, who gathered the necessary funds from the generous sponsors listed below.

This sculpture, made of barbed wire, looks disproportional, with the torso looking much larger than the legs and giving the overall sense of a horse that needs to go on a diet or do some more galloping around the school track!
