Decatur is the seat of Wise County, and the beautiful courthouse on the square is still in use. So, this mural reflects not only Decatur, but also the State of Texas, with a depiction of the Scale of Justice and a sword held by Lady Justice, a scroll over the shadow of the capitol building in Austin, a longhorn cow, a gavel, a bell, a flag of Texas, and a courts building. The background paint is a pinkish-gray, while the artwork is a much darker gray. The creators, Fox-Suarez Signs, signed the mural in white in the lower right corner, with no date provided. The artwork is approximately 15-18 long by 10-12 feet high.
