The urban conservation area of folk architecture Betlém in Hlinsko was announced in 1995. The reason for this achievement is the uniqueness ofthe urban area of largely preserved wooden buildings in the city centre. The origin of Betlém buildings falls into the first half of the 18th century, when more people from surrounding villages came to Hlinsko after the possibility of population migration had been granted by the Toleration Act in 1781 and the crafts generally prospered.

Památková rezervace lidové architektury Betlém v Hlinsku byla vyhlášena v roce 1995. Duvodem zrízení je jedinecnost dochovaného urbanistického celku prevážne roubených objektu ve stredu mesta. Pocátky zástavby Betléma spadají do první poloviny 18. století, kdy v souvislosti s možností stehování obyvatelstva po vydání tolerancního patentu roku 1781 a rozvojem remesel, pricházel do Hlinská vetší pocet obyvatel z okolních vesnic.
