The "Dutch House" at 32 East Third Street is thought to date to the late seventeen century. The one-story three-bay brick house has a steeply pitched gable roof with a tall center chimney. The house is thought to be the only surviving building from the Dutch period in New Castle though the date has not been completely ascertained. The house is now operated as a museum.
