This is a relict of the large army camp set up on Osea Island during World War II.

Virtually the last remaining object on Osea Island from the large camp of army personnel which was set up here during World War II. It's about 30ft high and would have been used to supply water to the ranks of barracks set up to the west of The Chase. It's pattern is typical of many similar water tanks across the country.
