[CLOSED] Sul América - Lisboa, Portugal - Independent Breakfast Spots on Waymarking.com

Sul América (translates as South America) is located in Avenida de Roma (Rome's Avenue) in what was once one of the fanciest areas of Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. It's still generally considered a good area to live, with its social and economic levels clearly above average. But its golden age were the late 60 and early 70.

It was then in the tables of cafes like Sul América that a new generation of bright minds assembled to discuss politics, philosophy, history... often having breakfast together, perhaps a coffee with a croissant, perhaps a "galão" (a glass with coffee and milk) with a mixed (ham and cheese with a bit of butter) sandwich.

This is in fact an independent cafe, which exists at least for 50 years now. In the main room there is a beautiful mural depicting South America.

Nowadays it's still a popular spot for local residents, people working nearby and students from the high school located just one block away. Pastry in outstanding.
