Ken Fox is the creator of several bigger-than-life sculptures along Auburn Ravine Road, where it meets Palm Avenue in Auburn, California. The artwork shows, just as the title suggests' a man wrestling with chains, surely symbolic of our earthly trials.
The sculpture is rough surfaced concrete with rock embedded in the mix The statue stands about 16 feet tall. It has no identifying name plate. This figure is one of several at this same location. The other figures show native American Indian in various poses. See photos.
