At the entrance to the park the city placed a bust of the president, the plaque on which reads:

The bust rests atop a very tall rough surfaced concrete plinth on a concrete base and has the brass plaque mounted on the north side.
The park, one city block in size, is along main street between 3rd and 4th avenues, across from the beautiful and historic Washoe Theatre.
The city also owns the
original plaster bust used to cast two bronzes of Kennedy, this and another at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA.
