April 19, 1995 was the day that a bomb exploded outside the Oklahoma City Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 people. The N. OKC Visitor's Center on I-35 and 122nd Street has a memorial to these victims at the entrance to the building, among some landscaping. The memorial was placed by the colleagues, friends, and family of those 11 who perished that day.

This marker honors the eleven Federal Highway Administration who died while performing their duties on April 19, 1995 at 9:02 A.M. A bomb exploded outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Downtown Oklahoma City, killing 168 people and injuring hundreds more.
We, the colleagues, friends and families of the fallen workers, dedicate this granite from the building in their memory.
