As Vino's began life as a pizzeria, it's a no-brainer to figure out that pizza is their signature dish. Be careful, as even the "small" and "medium" sizes can feed several people and still require a to-go box. They also serve salads and sandwiches -- their muffaletta is often compared to those from New Orleans, it's that good -- and dessert is simple: Cheesecake or root beer floats, with their own root beer. That is, if you still have room after all that food.

They brew their own beer here, and one can get a good look at the equipment on the other side of the building. It's hit and miss when you'll catch the brewmaster at work. Adding to the charm of the place, which some describe as a "dump," one can get a good look at where they store all their grain when heading out to the outdoor patio. QDV's favorite beer here is the Lazy Boy Stout, and it's an unwritten rule that, when we're in Little Rock, I get at least one glass of the stuff before we head out. Regular brews also include the Six Bridges Cream Ale, Firehouse Pale Ale, Pinnacle IPA, and whatever rotators have come out of the fermenter (Clusterluck IPA was an all-Cluster IPA a few years ago that would take your face off if you weren't careful!). They also have a small selection of non-Vino's brews available: They helped Diamond Bear in Little Rock when they were getting started, for example. Growlers are available to bring 64 ounces of liquid goodness back home with you. If beer isn't your thing, they've got plenty of soft drinks, iced tea, coffee, and lemonade available, too.

Be aware that Vino's is a "weird" place. If people with metal in their faces or color in their hair are not your thing, try a Pizza Hut, and frankly, you're missing out: The service here is always terrific.
