~ Art Description from the City of Palm Desert Art website (visit link) ~
Originally part of the 1994 El Paseo Sculpture Exhibition, the painted steel steed by Ted Gall was purchased by Seattle-based Restaurants Unlimited and donated it to the City of Palm Desert. Until the restaurant closed it 2005, the steed was a symbol for the Palomino restaurant. The 8 foot high by 16 foot long horse is currently located just north of El Paseo on Highway 74, and appears to be charging up the road.
