NZ0502 - OSHD '1085=Q 268' BM - Gold Hill, OR - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this Oregon State Highway Department benchmark from 1927 in good condition, although the disk has been painted over and the bottom edge of the disk has been scuffed off. This disk is monumented on top of a concrete curb at the SW corner of Rogue River Bridge. This disk is also very close to a Bureau of Reclamation BM located just a few few SW of this mark. The most recent NGS datasheet description is acceptable for recovery with the exception that there is no longer a steel guardrail that covers the mark. My more accurate coordinates will place you very close to this mark.

HIGHWAY 99) BRIDGE 1-297-10 OVER ROGUE RIVER, IN THE TOP OF THE WEST END OF THE SOUTH CONCRETE CURB, 10.0 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, AND ABOUT 1/2 FOOT HIGHER THAN THE HIGHWAY.
