The plaque says, translated from Spanish, "The City of Madrid appreciates Sobrino de Botín for showing was the city has." It's hard to see it, in the plaque, but trust me. It's there. The plaque was place in the year 2000. The name of the restaurant is Restaurant Botin in Calle Curchilleros which opened in 1725 and has been operating ever since; it even retains the original 18th century firewood oven. It is currently run by the Gonzalez family.
