Be sure to check for weather conditions before trying to head too far up the canyon. During peak season you will have to take a tram up to the trailhead.

The paved trail is beautiful, but if you can adventure passed the paved portion the canyon gets even better. I found that the deepest section is a little past the pavement then it becomes relatively easy after that. Due to the steep narrow canyon, there is no gps reception in the canyon.
