This climb is not for the feint hearted. It is a steep climb up the side of Zion Canyon. Chains and steps have been carved into the rock for the climb.

Be sure to take enough water and food with you as the trail is almost entirely in direct sunlight. Winter ice and snow would make the trail almost impassable. That being said, my 8 year old daughter made the trip easily on an autumn morning.
During peak season you will have to take the tram to the trailhead.
You climb up from the canyon floor along the almost vertical canyon wall. At the entrance to Hidden Canyon there are spectacular views of the Zion Canyon. Back up the canyon is a free standing arch.
