The obelisk portion of the monument has been broken off, disposition unknown, and unfortunately, the inside makes for a good trash can for people who don't know any better. The base is in good shape, though, with the family name of "Clay" on the main face, with the following inscription:
Edna R. Clay
Born Oct. 14, 1870,
Died Jan. 12, 1888.
Sunflowers flank all the panels on each face. One face features a harp, one features a crown, and another features a rope of flowers of some kind.
