This Woodman headstone marks the grave of Ulysses Grant Ford. It is a tree stump marker and features the motto "Dum Tacet Clamat" above the name and the words "Here rests a Woodman of the World" near the base.

I was especially pleased to discover this marker as it's the first I've found for a person who is related to me. Ulysses Grant Ford, more commonly known as "Grant," was a grandson of Judge Sidney Ford (my Great x4 Grandfather), who was one of the earliest white settlers in Washington. Grant was born in 1866 and named after victorious Union Civil War General (and future President) Ulysses Grant.
