Fox Cemetery is a very well kept graveyard in rural McDonald County, Missouri. (A graveyard is a churchyard cemetery.)
Albert E. Brumley and his family attended the adjacent Fox Church. Although a bit subjective, it is probably not too far wrong to say that most Christians (and many other folks as well) recognize his famous song,
I'll Fly Away. It was featured in the movie
O Brother, Where Art Thou?, but was very well known before that, of course.
Albert is interred next to his wife Goldie, of 46 years. The song fragment inscribed on the grave marker is from his song I'll Meet You In the Morning.
