This 7'x7'x5.5' fabricated steel sculpture was created in 1981 for the City of Lafayette by Albert Lavergne, native of Basile, Louisiana. Lavergne is Professor of Art, Sculpture Area Coordinator, at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI.
Formerly gray colored, the sculpture was painted white in 2012.
