Located within the John F. Fleming Memorial Park is a veterans memorial which lists the names of individuals with birth and death dates. John F. Fleming tops the list of names that are listed on two separate marble panels. Amazingly, this memorial contains no text honoring the individuals nor any date of dedication. From looking at the birth and death dates of the individuals listed, it's obvious that they represent many decades of service to our country. Some of these individuals possibly died in previous wars, others must have served their country in some capacity and lived full lives, based on the dates next to their names. It's also assumed these individuals are from Rogue River.
There is/was a Vietnam Memorial located here as well that mentions the Fleming family having donated the land to create this memorial park in their son's honor, John Fleming. I did not come across this memorial and it's possible it may have been replaced with this larger and more recent memorial.

Description of Memorial: This Veterans Memorial was discovered after stopping nearby to take pictures of the Depot Street Bridge, an arch bridge that makes quite a presence as it spans the Rogue River. The memorial's flagpole with the waving Stars and Stripes grab one's attention and beckon them to come inspect the monument placed here. The black marble panels create a nice, subdued setting and the monument has a very clean look and feel to it.
Wars mentioned (Multi-war only): Not listed
