This cemetery was established in 1884. After 12 graves were put into this cemetery, a new cemetery was established 2 miles further south near the St. John's Lutheran Church in Stones Prairie in 1901. Four other burials were done at this old cemetery in 1923, 1930 x 2, and 1939, then the cemetery was abandoned, leaving just 16 graves.
