"The "Lindavia Fountain" next to the old town hall can be admired at Reichsplatz. The plinth of the fountain is made of red marble, and above it sits Lindavia on her throne with a linden twig. She is the guardian of the town of Lindau. The figures on the trough below symbolise the origins of Lindau's prosperity, namely seafaring, fishing, wine-growing and agriculture."
