In Needham, at the intersection of Highland Avenue and May Street, is St. Joseph Church, which has a World War II memorial for those of the parish who served in World War II.
The church is located on the northeast corner of the intersection. The front of the church faces Highland Avenue and is up against the sidewalk. To the left of the entrance (when facing it from Highland Avenue), there is a small grass area in front of the extended portion of the building. In that area is the memorial, among bushes and a flagpole, in plain view from the sidewalk.
The board is mounted on a foundation. It is wooden, painted white. At the top is a peaked feature that incorporates a cross in it. The board is covered with glass. On that board, at the top, is an eagle in gold. Below that is the text:
"For God and Country
Saint Joseph's Parish
Honor Roll

There are 330 names on the list of names on metal plates, arranged in seven columns (counted).
