The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Olomouc (Czech: Arcidiecéze olomoucká, Latin: Archidioecesis Olomucensis) is an archdiocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church in the Czech Republic. Not much is known about the beginnings of the Diocese of Olomouc. It was reestablished in 1063 and in 1777 it was elevated to an archdiocese. This CoA, so called "great CoA", was acquired by diocese from Roman Holy Emperor Rudolph II.
Neo-Romanesque complex of the former Convent of Merciful Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo (klášter milosrdných sester sv. Karla Boromejského) is one of principal landmarks of town Frýdlant nad Ostravicí. The Convent complex, the largest and the most valuable architectonic monument of Frýdlant, was founded by Archbishop of Olomouc cardinal Friedrich von Fürstenberg in 1871.
