The Cantwell Park Suspension Bridge over the Murray River is approx 150m long . The plaque is in a garden bed on the western approach to the bridge and was unveiled by Wendy Fatin M.P.who was the first Western Australian woman to win a seat in the Australian House of Representatives in 1983

The plaque reads :-
