Er gilt als der berühmteste männliche deutsche Schauspieler zwischen 1930 und 1945.
Hans Albers was a singer and actor, born in Hamburg. Especially after the two world wars, he became famous with many films and songs. The song "Auf der Reeperbahn nachts um halb eins" is the unofficial hymn of the amusement strip of the same name in Hamburg. He was the biggest male movie star in Germany between 1930 and 1945.
