Alwan Lawrence built these 2 houses in 1898 after a fire destroyed the 2 commercial buildings he had on this site. By 1921 Leon Germaine who owned and operated the garage near by was in possession of the residences. The buildings were joined by Tecton Corporation around 1980 to serve as offices. They are now residential use.
