Along the historic Hwy 99 is the Foots Creek Bridge, constructed in 1928. This is one of many older, concrete bridges that were built in the 1920s and 1930s along this stretch of highway between Medford and Grants Pass.

There are two bronze plaques located at the NE and SW corners of the bridge that read:

FOOTS CREEK

OREGON STATE HIGHWAY
COMMISSION
C. A. CATCHING
CONTRACTOR
1928

It is amazing to see this bridge holding up very well after all these decades of motorists traveling over it. I was also surprised to see that this bridge was not replaced during the Oregon Bridge Project in the late 1990s and early 2000s when most Oregon bridges over 40-50 years of years were replaced.
