The Atiamuri Bridge carries SH1 over the Waikato River, around 30km north of Taupo, passing from the Taupo to the South Waikato District.
The previous trussed steel bridge has now been replaced upstream of the original by a new 123m long, three span bridge, over the Waikato River on an improved highway alignment. There is a new lookout at the site of the old bridge and the boundary sign stands alongside this area.
