E.J. Ball was a native of Monette, Arkansas, and a graduate of the University of
Arkansas with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a Masters degree in Finance,
and a law degree. He taught in the law school and business school for more than
twenty years, and also had a private law practice in Fayetteville.
Mr. Ball was an avid Razorback fan and was involved with the Razorback athletic
program for more than fifty years. For many years, he played an important role
in mentoring Razorback players in life skills and preparation for careers after
their collegiate playing days ended. Mr. Ball was instrumental in the creation of
the Razorback Foundation and served as its Chairman for many years. Through
his tireless efforts, E.J. Ball helped raise millions of dollars for the University of
Arkansas - he was truly a Difference Maker.
