The historic Continental Avenue Bridge was closed in 2013 and will reopen in June 2015 as a pedestrian park between Downtown Dallas and West Dallas.

As part of the Trinity Corridor project, the Continental Avenue brodge, which carried traffic between Oak Cliff and Downtown Dallas sonce 1930 was permanently closed to traffic.
In June 2014 the Continental Avenue bridge reopens as a pedestrian park.
On 17 May 2014 thousands of girl scouts and their families got a sneak peek at the new park, as the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Council held a Council-wide bridging ceremony here.
The park has lovely views of the Trinity River, downtown Dallas, the landmark Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge designed by Santiago Calatrava, and lots of landscaping, seating areas, and chess tables. Bikes and dogs are welcome.
